Abstract

Objective: Research the death rates and some features of Covi-19 patients who died during treatment at Binh Duong field hospital-3 (BD.FH-3). Method: Cross-sectional study. Results: From August 5, 2021 to October 31, 2021, BD.FH-3 treated 10711 Covid-19 patients (male: 5242, rate 48,94%; female: 5469, rate 51,06%; The percentage of men is lower than women with statistical significance, P-Fisher's exact=0,014). There were 32 deaths (rate 0,3%), including 20 women and 12 men; The mortality rates in women (0,36%) was higher than in men (0,23%), not statistically significant (P_Fisher’s exact=0,131). Deaths age range: Age 26 is the youngest and age 75 is the oldest. Men are common in the age group 46-55, women are common over age 56, the mean age of women is higher than that of men without statistical significance (P_T test = 0,087). About Occupation: 13 workers (40,6%), the elderly 10 (31,3%), the other 9 cases (28,1%); The disease worsens usually on the 7th day (5; 9,75). Death is usually on the 9th day (7; 17), but it can also be up to 38 days. The highest mortality is September 2021. Cause of death: 6 cases of sudden death; 6 cases of acute pulmonary embolism; 17 cases of acute respiratory failure; 2 cases of stroke; 1 case of acute with chronic renal failure. The majority of patients died without vaccinated (91,6%), 46,9% were overweight and obese, 34,4% had at least 1 underlying disease, average CT values of RT-PCR: 18,7 ± 4,5. Conclusions: Covid-19 death rate at BD.FH-3 was 0,3%, lower than other localities at the same time. Deaths: Most (91,6%) were unvaccinated; 46,9% were overweight and obese; 34,4% had at least one comorbidity.
