SURVEY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS, KIDNEY FUNCTION WITH SOME ANTHROPOMETRIC AND LABORATORY PARAMETERS IN RELATIVELY LIVING DONORS

Abstract

Objectives: "Relationship of morphological characteristics, kidney function with some anthropometric of kidney donors ". Subjects and methods: 48 normal, healthy people with the same bloodline as the kidney recipient, ultrasound and scintigraphy with 99mTc-DTPA, from January 2021 to April 2022. Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional. Results: The mean age was 33.79 ± 8.28 (from 23 to 60) and the male/female ratio was 1.29/1. The size of the kidney on ultrasound (width x length) right kidney is 44.7 mm x 99.21 mm, left kidney is 46.85 mm x 101.06 mm. The size and width of the kidney were smaller in women than in men (47.15±6.79 mm compared with 41.82±5.79 mm) with p<0.05. The mean glomerular filtration rate of both sexes is 122.87±10.44 ml/min; right kidney is 61.87±6.39 ml/min, left kidney is 61.0±6.31; % contribution of total of right kidney is 50.81±2.77%, left kidney is 49.19±2.77%. There is a strong positive correlation between kidney depth and Weight, BSA, BMI with r = 0.97; 0.9; 0.95. There was a moderate positive correlation between kidney volume and weight, height, BSA, BMI with r = 0.5 - 0.76.
