RESEARCH ON THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE CHILDREN UNDERGONE SURGERY AT HANOI HEART HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract
Objective: To study the nutritional status of pediatric patients with congenital heart disease undergone surgery at Hanoi Heart hospital in 2021. Methods: Cross-sectional description of 105 pediatric patients with congenital heart disease treated at Hanoi Heart Hospital in 2021. Results: The most common age in the study was < 6 months old was 42.9%; The rate of male / female was 48.6%/51.4%; Diagnosis of congenital heart disease: Atrial septal defect was 5.7%, ventricular septal defect was 45.7%, aortic duct was 12.4%, Pulmonary stenosis was 7.6%, tetralogy of Fallot was 17.1%, combination of many malformations was 11.4%; Nutritional status of pediatric patients: Normal was 45.7%, malnourished was 54.3%; Classification of malnutrition: Acute malnutrition was 15.2%, chronic malnutrition was 22.9% and progressive chronic malnutrition was 16.2%. Classification of nutritional levels: Mild malnutrition was 26.7%, moderate malnutrition was 17.1% severe malnutrition was 10.5%. Conclusion: A study of 105 pediatric patients with congenital heart disease treated at Hanoi Heart Hospital showed that the rate of malnutrition was 54.3%, of which, acute malnutrition accounted for 15.2%, malnutrition accounted for 15.2%. chronic malnutrition 22.9% and progressive chronic malnutrition 16.2%.
