THE SITUATION OF THE CONSULTATION FOR ANTENATAL SCREENING OF PREGNANT WOMEN AT HA NOI GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objectives: Assessing the need for counseling on prenatal screening of pregnant women at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 350 pregnant women with antenatal care at Voluntary Obstetrics Depart-ment and Center for Prenatal Screening and Diagnosis - Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from January 2021 to the of June 2022. Results: 86.3% of pregnant women know about prenatal screening before going to hospital. Pregnant women have good knowledge in such items as Knowing the indications for performing prenatal screening tests (93.4%); Knowing the gestational week performed prenatal screening tests (85.4%); Correct concept of prenatal screening tests (76.2%). 89.7% know information about prenatal screening and diagnosis from personal experience and acquaintances, followed by social networks and the internet. Regarding the need for counseling, only 59 (16.9%) of pregnant women have the need to consult and learn about prenatal screening. Conclusion: In the group of pregnant women who need to be consulted: 37 (62.7%) subjects want to know more about the purpose as well as indications for performing prenatal screening tests. 18 (30.5%) want to know more about the types of prenatal screening tests available
