KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE ABOUT COVID-19 OF GENERAL STUDENTS AT VIETNAM UNIVERSITY OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE IN 2021

Abstract
Objective: To assess the knowledge and attitudes of the final two-year General Medicine students Vietnam university of traditional medicine in 2021. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 540 fifth and sixth year general medical students from May to August 2020. Data were collected using a pre-prepared questionnaire. Results: In the study, men were more than women with the rate of 59.6%. The percentage of sixth year students is higher (54.2%). Most of the subjects had knowledge about COVID-19 through social networks (90.3%). Don’t association was found between correct general knowledge, positive attitude and COVID-19 prevention practice. There was a link between the school year and general knowledge about COVID-19. Conclusion: The percentage of students with correct knowledge and positive attitude about COVID-19 is relatively low. The school as well as the student unions in the school need to focus on communicating through social networks, and encourage students to access official information sources from the Ministry of Health and scientific newspapers.
