KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, AND THE PREVALENCE OF COVID-19 VACCINE BOOSTER DOSES AMONG ADULTS IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE IN 2022

Abstract
Background: Developing a safe and effective vaccine and vaccination scale-up is the safest and most promising approach to effectively and sustainably prevent COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccination protects individuals from COVID-19 and establishes herd immunity and has broad benefits at the social level in terms of increased production and positive financial impact. Objectives: The research was carried out with three goals in mind: (1). Description of knowledge on COVID-19 vaccine booster shots (2). Description of attitudes on COVID-19 vaccine booster shots (3). To determine the percentage of people who received a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Binh Duong province. Materials and method: A cross-sectional study of 2140 persons aged 18 and higher in Binh Duong province was conducted. Results: Through the study, there were 14/14 questions about knowledge, with over 50% of people having correct knowledge; 9/9 questions about attitude; 80% of people have a positive attitude. The rate of vaccination against COVID-19 booster dose was 76.4%. Conclusion: It is necessary to continue to carry out communication and education activities on the effects of vaccines and the benefits of booster shots. At the same time, it is necessary to review and provide a repeat vaccination schedule for COVID-19 that is suitable for each person in the province.
