Abstract

Objectives: To determine the prevalence and factors related to anxiety disorders and sleep disorders in prolonged covid-19 patients to propose measures for early detection, screening, diagnosis, and treatment management. Methods: The study used a cross-sectional descriptive research method, convenient sampling; subject 378 patients with prolonged covid 19; using the GAD 7 Questionnaire to assess anxiety; The PCL-5 questionnaire assesses insomnia. Results: The rate of anxiety disorders in Covid-19 patients lasting on the GAD-7 scale was 28.3%; most of them were mild and moderate (22.7%). Sleep disturbance is common in long-term Covid-19 patients (39.1%). Some factors are related to anxiety disorders: age ≥50, worry a lot about complications of Covid-19, worry about being stigmatized because of COVID, ≥5 symptoms in the acute stage. Some factors are associated with anxiety disorders: age ≥50, high anxiety about complications of Covid-19. Conclusion: Most anxiety disorders are mild and moderate; Factors related to anxiety disorders and sleep problems include age ≥50, high anxiety about complications of Covid-19, anxiety about complications, and≥ 5 symptoms in the acute phase.
