THE STATUS OF USING FAST FOOD OF THE 6th YEAR STUDENTS OF MEDICAL AND PREVENTIVE MEDICINE AT UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY - THAINGUYEN UNIVERSITY IN 2022 AND SOME RELATED FACTORS

Abstract
Objectives: Describe the status of using fast food and to analyze of some factors related to using fast food of the 6th year student majoring of Medical and Preventive Medicine at University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Thai Nguyen University in 2022. Research subjects and methods: The study was conducted by descriptive method with a cross-sectional design on 329 6th year student majoring in Medical and Preventive Medicine tại University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Thai Nguyen University. Research Results: The rate of 6th year student majoring in Medicine and Preventive Medicine using fast food was quite high, accounting for 75.4%. The frequency of using fast food was also relatively high, in 3 days, there were 534 times of use: Traditional sandwiches are used the most by students, accounting for 34.5%, the rate of students using food fast breakfast (37.1%) and lunch (35.8%) mainly; up to 76.9% of students use fast food until they were full rather than eating with other foods, the main reason for using fast food was to save time (51.9%), cost cheap (43.3%), suitable for taste (37.8%), and meeting and gathering friends and relatives (34.5%). There was a statistically significant relationship between the number of fast food restaurants around the residence and the percentage of students using fast food (p < 0.05).
