MALOCCLUSION CONDITION IN STUDENTS AT HERMANN GMEINER INTER – LEVEL SCHOOL, HA NOI IN 2023

Abstract

received more attention, malocclusion has received increasing attention from society. Hermann Gmeiner Inter-school, Hanoi is one of the schools that focuses on school dentistry and preventive treatment for students. Therefore, we conduct research to evaluate malocclusion status in students is necessary to provide data for preventive treatment and orthodontic treatment for students. Through research and analysis of data on malocclusion of 9th grade students of Hermann Gmeiner inter-school, Hanoi in 2023, we found that: - 13.9% of the children have faces that are skewed to the right and only 2 children have faces that are skewed to the left. - The proportion of students with three symmetrical face height accounts for 91.1%. Three asymmetrical face height only found in 8.9%. - The types of convex and concave faces account for 21.5% and 11.4%, respectively. - There are 83.5% of students in grade 9 with a normal upper-lower lip relationship. The rest, 16.5% of students had an inverted lip position. - Most of the 9th grade students have an Angle correlation of type I on both teeth 6 and 3, both on the right and on the left. - The condition of crossbite incisors was only found in 8.9% of students, however, 35.4% of students had crowding incisors. - The rate of abnormal number of teeth is also low, accounting for 10.1%.
