Abstract

Background: Today, the rate of ectopic pregnancy is increasing. Currently, there are many domestic studies on ectopic pregnancy, but most of them focus on risk factors or medical treatment. A ruptured ectopic pregnancy causes blood loss so that appropriate recommendations can be made to reduce the rate of ruptured ectopic pregnancy and its consequences.Subjects and research methods: Report on a series of 55 ruptured ectopic pregnancies. Results: The proportion of patients with ruptured ectopic pregnancy with blood loss ≥ 300 ml was 69.1%. The average amount of blood loss is 400 ml, the maximum is 1500 ml. The average age was 32.6 ± 6.5 years. In multigravida patient, the rate of blood loss is over 300 ml about 50.9%. Patients with no history of abortion with blood loss ≥ 300 ml about 56.4%. The proportion of patients with regular menstrual cycles with blood loss ≥ 300ml is 43.6%. About 60% of patients without gynecological examination had blood loss ≥ 300ml. Conclusion: The rate of ruptured ectopic pregnancy in Vietnam is high.
