Abstract

Objective: The study aims to describe the current situation and analyze some related factors concerning knowledge, attitudes, and practices on seasonal influenza vaccination among pregnant women with infants under 1-year-old in two communes and one urban ward. Methods: A cross- sectional descriptive study was conducted in 2022, involving 256 pregnant women with infants under 1 year old in Quang Tien Ward, Quang Dai Commune, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province. Results: The rate of seasonal flu vaccination in pregnant women - with children under 1-year-old was 31.25%. The factors of occupation and health status had a significant correlation with knowledge of influenza and seasonal flu vaccination (p < 0.05). The educational level factor was significantly associated with the attitude towards seasonal flu vaccination (p < 0.05). The factors of educational level, occupation, history of flu, and pregnant women being at high-risk for flu were significantly correlated with the rate of seasonal flu vaccination (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Percentage of seasonal flu vaccine injections is low. Government and healthcare authorities need to implement national policies regarding the use of seasonal flu vaccination for women of childbearing age and take measures to enhance related factors, increasing the rate of


 


 



seasonal flu vaccination for this group.
