Abstract

OHVIRA syndrome, an acronym for « Obstructed Hemivagina Ipsilateral Renal Agenesis » was a rare anomaly of the urogenital system, usually diagnosed in infants, young children, and adolescent girls. OHVIRA syndrome was characterized by urogenital abnormalities such as didelphys uterus, duplication of the cervix and vagina, unilateral obstructed hemivagina, and ipsilateral renal agenesis. We reported a case that diagnosed with OHVIRA syndrome at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. A 10- year-old female patient with no menstrution yet was admitted to the hospital due to lower abdominal pain. Abdominal ultrasound and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a didelphys uterus consisting of two chambers, two cervixes, two vaginas, left-sided hydro/hematometrocolpos, and left kidney agenesis.
