BLOOD LIPID DISORDERS IN PATIENTS UNDER TYPE 2 DIABETES AT TRA VINH PROVINCE GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: Determine the rate of lipid disorders and factors related to blood lipid disorders in type 2 diabetes patients being treated at Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital. Subjects and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 229 patients under type 2 diabetes at Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital from June 2023 to September 2023. The study used a convenient sampling method. Results: The rate of dyslipidemia in the study was 91.27%. The most common disorder was Triglycerid (68,56%), followed by LDL-c (44,54%), Cholesterol (27,51%) and the lowest HDL-c (24,02%). High use of bad fats (PR=1,15, CI:1,05-1,26) and overweight and obese patients were at higher risk related to dyslipidemia (PR=1,15, CI:1 ,03-1,28). Conclusion: It is necessary to strengthen the control of diet and weight in diabetic patients to control dyslipidemia for patients better.
