Nghiên cứu sâu răng ảnh hưởng chất lượng cuộc sống được tiến hành trên 158 trẻ 4-5 tuổi thuộc trường mầm non Thăng Long. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, tỷ lệ sâu răng ảnh hưởng đến chất lượng cuộc sống tương đối cao đối với trẻ (89,2%) và gia đình (72,2%). Trong đó, trẻ chủ yếu bị đau (66,5%), khó ăn (68,4%), khó uống (62,7%) với điểm ECOHIS trung bình là 5,95. Phụ huynh chủ yếu bị ‘phiền lòng’ và ‘ảnh hưởng tài chính’ (53,2%) bởi vấn đề răng miệng của trẻ với điểm ECOHIS trung bình là 2,55.
